Robin Leong

Member
Robin J. Leong is currently the President and majority shareholder of Music Center of Hawaii, Inc. He formed the company in 1990 to provide musical instruments, repair services, music books and printed music to Hawaii's schools, bands, orchestras, and private musicians. Prior to his involvement in the music business, he practiced law in Hawaii, emphasizing Family Law and Insurance Defense. His Family Law experience included adoptions and Guardian Ad Litem representation of abused and neglected children. He currently has active status with the Hawaii State Bar Association but confines his practice to nonprofit organizations.

He has served on the boards of Catholic Services to Families (Board President), Campaign for Human Development Honolulu Diocese (Board Chair), Catholic Charities Hawaii, and the Hawaii Youth Symphony Association (Board President); and as a delegate in Washington D.C. for the National Advisory Committee of the Campaign for Human Development, U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (Vice Chair on the Executive Committee).

Robin graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Occidental College, A.B. Degree in Political Science, earning his law degree (J.D.) from the University of California-Davis, Martin Luther King, Jr. Hall. He has received training in musical instrument repair at the University of New Hampshire, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians (Normal, Illinois), Straubinger Flutes (Indianapolis, Indiana), and Muramatsu of America (Detroit, Michigan).
