How to Apply for Financial Aid

Each year, Maryknoll School’s need-based financial aid program is designed to make a Maryknoll School education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Maryknoll School is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application, which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

It is important to keep in mind that while we try to assist as many qualified students as possible, financing a private school education remains the primary responsibility of the family. Maryknoll requires both parents (whether divorced, separated, or never married) to complete the financial aid process.

Families of returning students must reapply each year for financial assistance. In order for returning students to receive financial aid, they must have demonstrated commitment to academics and co-curricular activities and participated positively in the school community.

A returning student’s family who is in arrears with its financial obligation to the school will be ineligible to receive aid until the balance is resolved; this may jeopardize the possibility of receiving aid the following year.

  • For returning students, November 15, 2024, is the deadline to complete the financial aid application and upload all required documents.
  • For applying students, February 15, 2025, is the deadline to complete the financial aid application and upload all required documents.

Step 1: APPLY ONLINE at Clarity Schools

To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the drop-down menu in the application to add schools.

NOTE:
Financial aid eligibility for SY 2025–2026 will be based on the parents’ 2023 tax information. However, Clarity School still requires parents to input their estimated 2024 tax information in order to complete the application online. Thank you for your understanding.

Step 2: SUPPLEMENTAL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Your 1040 and W2 documents from 2023 will be automatically transferred from the IRS when you complete the verification step, so you will no longer need to upload those documents manually.

Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity Application, as additional tax documentation may be required for you to upload.

The deadline for completing the financial aid application, including relevant supplemental documents, is November 15, 2024, for returning families and February 15, 2025, for new families.

NOTE:
Maryknoll School’s Financial Aid Committee reserves the right to request additional information/documentation in their review to determine a family’s financial need.

Remember

  • All financial aid information is strictly confidential.

  • Admission decisions and financial aid awards are kept separate.

  • Requesting financial aid in no way jeopardizes your child’s opportunity for admission to Maryknoll School.
