Jonathan Sim '99

Member
Jonathan Sim is an alumnus of Maryknoll High School’s Class of 1999 and an Eagle Scout with Troop 42, is an architect and Associate at Design Partners Incorporated. With over 18 years of experience spanning Hawai‘i, Connecticut, London, Hong Kong, California, and Washington, D.C..  Jonathan's portfolio includes master planning and architecture for healthcare, hospitality, education, housing, and transportation projects. His notable works include Crossrail Retail and Park in London, Apple Campus 2 in California, the Hong Kong Border Crossing Facility, Pacific Buddhist Academy, Queen’s Medical Center West Oahu, and The Park on Ke‘eaumoku.
Jonathan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. His career began internationally at the renowned firm Foster + Partners in London before he returned home to Hawai‘i in 2012.
He currently serves on the Maryknoll School Board Facilities Committee and previously served on the American Institute of Architects Honolulu Chapter Board and the NAIOP Developing Leaders Program. Jonathan and his wife are proud parents of their son, Vincent, who is enrolled in Maryknoll Grade School’s 1st Grade Mandarin Immersion Program.
