Amelia '36

Kindergarten is a significant milestone, full of new opportunities for learning and uncertainty about new faces and expectations.
When Amelia '36 started her first day of kindergarten, she was understandably nervous about meeting her teachers and new classmates. But from the moment we dropped her off, the Maryknoll community embraced her with open arms, welcoming her as a cherished member of their ohana. Her teacher quickly noticed her love for art and creativity and guided her toward activities that helped her connect with her peers, making new friends almost instantly.

Amelia has been encouraged to explore her creative side through arts and crafts in the classroom, which has ignited her passion for self-expression. The thoughtful guidance of her teachers and the warm, nurturing environment have made the transition seamless for her. Every morning, Amelia eagerly looks forward to school, her excitement matching that of her older and younger sisters and cousins.

Amelia’s experience at Maryknoll School has laid a strong foundation for her to grow in confidence, expand her knowledge, and develop skills to help her thrive as a lifelong learner.
